At Adapptiv, we have three core areas of expertise where we feel everything else falls under. Communications, Technology, and Design. While far deeper and inclusive, these three tiers are the core of our strengths. This gives us an edge that would usually require larger teams and even larger fees you’d pay as a client. It’s not that there aren’t amazing people in each of these areas all over the place; there absolutely are. What separates Adapptiv from them however, is in the deep relationship we’ve had with technology, communication arts, and visual design for well over three decades. It provides us with a unique perspective, a passion to evangelize for clients we believe in, and in many areas, gives us the ability to see into the future and know what’s coming next.

Those Who Forget History…

Are doomed to repeat it. It’s something I am constantly saying to my 12 year old daughter (who is in the pic to the left at about 4 months old!) and it provides context if you want to see what’s coming next. The image you see here is a rendering I did way back in 2001, a full six years before the introduction of the iPhone! The device itself was less a phone than a tablet, but that was only for two reasons at the time. One was that cel phones were rudimentary at best, and the other was that I actually envisioned VOIP (which was available at the time but not widely) taking the place of land lines entirely. That will of course, eventually happen, and cellular providers today are planning for it. This is just one visual example of the trends, ideas, and technologies we’ve seen way before they came to be, and it’s a passion of ours to stay up on everything we possibly can. It makes us more resilient to unforeseen change, keeps us sharp, and lets us offer our clients insight as few others can.

21st Century Thinkers Only, Please.

Without coming off as pompous, we really know a lot about a lot. The one thing we know most though, is that when we don’t know something, we know how to find the information. Not only find it, but verify it, cross-check it, and determine the best and most efficient ways to learn for any given subject.
